Alaska Instrument Company, Inc. was founded in 1968 as Manufacturers' Representative offering application engineering in the field of industrial instrumentation, control and piping systems. Since it's inception, the company has represented quality process control equipment in Alaska.
Alaska Instrument is the largest manufacturer representative in Alaska. We currently represent thirty manufacturers of process control equipment. We maintain an outside sales staff of three, and an inside sales staff of two. In addition, we have a full-time order entry/expediter.
Alaska Instrument carries local inventory of between $200K to $300K to support our Alaskan customers. We have a Master Purchasing Agreement with ConocoPhillips Alaska. Alaska Instrument is connected to Phillips Alaska (formerly ARCO Alaska) via EDI for purchasing purposes.
Major accounts are handled by designated outside sales personnel. The outside sales staff is supported by the inside sales staff. Alaska Instrument maintains a regular schedule of trips to all major business areas in Alaska; Prudhoe Bay to Kenai.
Although the majority of our business is oil & gas related; we have maintained a presence in other areas also. We currently supply product to the water/wastewater industry and the mining industry in Alaska. Additionally, we have on-going sales to the power industry in Alaska.
